To start the claim process you will need to notify the company of the accident or incident and download the claim PDF which will be forwarded to you upon your report.
You can report the accident either via a phone call or by completing the email form on the make a claim page.

|
Your costs will be relative to your level of Pre Repair Contribution, (as defined in your membership protection certificate). Your costs will only be relevant once the repair process has commenced and will depend on the assessed damage. Whatever the costs of repair turn out to be you will be liable for any amount up to and inclusive of your Pre Repair Contribution.

Q: What happens once I’ve submitted my claim?
|
Once we have received your claim lodgement, we will process your claim. From there we send our claim to our insurers who will manage the approval and repair process. You will more than likely receive a phone call from us to confirm the details with you and we will process a data recall to validate the details you have provided with our in car technology data.
Once all that is confirmed we will commence the assessment of damage process and let you know what the costs of repair will be. If the damage is minor, we will let you organise the repair (providing the damage is under your pre repair contribution level). If your vehicle is beyond repair our insurers will organise the financial payment process to assist you in replacing your car.

Q: What information do I need for making a claim?
|
You will need to complete the accident and incident form in the Lodgement section, and include as much detail about the accident or incident as you can. You should if possible take photo’s of your car and if there is another car involved, of that car too. You should collect information about other drivers and if there are any eye witnesses around talk to them about what they saw and if they would be happy to provide a statement.
Make sure to submit the basic details like; your name, the registration number of your car, your contact details, the time and location of the accident or incident and if the vehicle has been towed or moved to a repairer, who that repairer is and their contact details.

Q: What do I do with the details of the other party?
|
Should another party be involved in the accident you are required to collect as much detail relative to that party as possible. Once you have the information keep it in a safe place as we will require that information at some stage of the claim process. Don’t send it to us until we ask.

Q: How long after I make a claim will it take to process and repair my car?
|
We aim to process your claim within 24 hours from the time we receive your claim lodgement. However this time is based on the completeness of the information you provide us with. Once you claim is approved, repair time will depend on the availability of the repairer to complete the work required. We would expect a period of 14 days to be ample to allow all major repairs however what we will do is let you know once the assessors and repairers have commenced the repair process.

Q: What happens to my claim if I didn't notify the police?
|
Should you be involved in an accident that involves other parties, or if you think the damage to your car is likely to affect more than one panel of your car you should notify the police for your own protection. Plenty of times third parties have manufactured a story to try and get other damage (not caused by you) repaired if there is no police report.
If your damage is minor, like backing into a light post, you will not need a police report. Just remember that police take independent and non bias statements. This could save you and us both time and money.
